I was asked to make a short animation for Kennedy Van der Laan to make companies aware of the legal dangers/ pitfalls of cloud computing.

App icon for eyeWally

Fabrique asked me to design an app icon for the new EyeOpen application: eyeWally.

App icons for KLM

The kind people of KLM asked me to create a new look for their application icons for smartphones and tablets.

After a lot of sketches, feedback and different versions we agreed on this new style for the existing icons.

I also designed the icons for the new applications. I will post them as soon as they're released in the AppStore.

Birth announcement card for Lily

Two close friends asked me to design a Birth Announcement Card for their baby girl, Lily.
I was honored that they asked me and i wanted to create something special.

We agreed on a concept pretty fast but i wasn't quite sure what direction to take in the visual style of the illustrations. I made a lot of sketches but couldn't really decide. The first ones were too realistic for my taste and i thought that would make the card too serious. I also didn't want it to be too cartoony though.

Luckily a commercial job i was working on gave me an idea of how to give the illustration a bit of extra character. The idea is that the elements are cut out of paper. This way i could give it the impression of a paper diorama. I also experimented with a couple of paper textures but ended up using them only barely visible. I didn't want the textures to draw too much attention. The style is simple and friendly.

Lily was born on december 19th 2011. She's healthy and beautifull.

Logo design for 'Schobben Advocatenkantoor'

A good friend started his own law firm. I was honered when he asked me to design a company logo for him. Schobben Advocatenkantoor is specialised in construction law, corporate law and real estate, working on contracts, procurements, litigation and advising companies on it.

Here are some of the design stages, the final logo and the final business cards:

 

 

The cards were printed by kleuruitdebetuwe on Heaven42 paper made by Scheufelen. Check out their fantastic paper here.

New Business Cards

I finally designed a business card for myself.
Thanx to the excellent work of SU Groep they turned out exactly like i hoped.

I wanted the black part of my logo to look like a wet ink drop on top of the card.
The card itself has a matte coating. It has three rounded corners. I used black and 100% cyan.
To keep it simple i printed just my phone number, e-mail address and website url.
